'A fresh interpretation of a timeless classic'

The Dark Chocolate Nutcracker to be produced by No Dreams Deferred & The Making of a Black Dancer Foundation

Community theater Clark Nesbitt's No Dreams Deferred Productions Unlimited and North Carolina based community dance organization The Making of a Black Dancer Foundation are teaming up to produce "a fresh interpretation of the timeless classic" The Nutcracker with The Dark Chocolate Nutcracker on the Arts Center stage Nov. 25. The production infuses a unique blend of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, hip-hop and contemporary to create an unforgettable experience for all ages. Stunning choreography seamlessly blends classical and contemporary dance. Nesbitt, director of No Dreams Deferred, said the cast and crew cannot wait to share this "unique experience" with the community, adding, "This production is a celebration of diversity, creativity and the joy of the holiday season!"


The show starts on Nov. 25 at 5 p.m. at 110 Academy St. Tickets for The Dark Chocolate Nutcracker are on sale now and can be purchased on eventbrite.com.
